Junior


Crompton and Royton Golf Club actively promotes a child friendly environment and encourages junior golfers at all levels, including beginners. We are committed to the adoption of a child protection policy.

The Ninth - TeeCrompton and Royton has acheived the Clubmark Junior Golf standard (Golfmark Website) and all junior development is in partnership with the English Golf Union EGU (EGU Website)

In conjunction with the Golf Foundation, the Crompton and Royton Junior Development Committee has established a Junior Performance Academy at Crompton and Royton Golf Club. The Academy is headed by PGA Golf Professional Martin Beaty who has designed development programs for the juniors working in Group sessions and on a one-to-one basis with boys and girls.

Crompton and Royton’s Junior development team has acheived the prestigious Clubmark award which is a national accreditation for sporting clubs that develop high quality, welcoming environments for young participants. Together with the EGU and community sports partnership, Crompton and Royton has formed links into local primary and secondary schools in order to deliver free coaching sessions using the tri-golf and the golf-extreme concept kit’s. Crompton and Royton is committed to the development of it’s junior golfers, providing a great environment to learn key skills for life and for the game.

  • Junior Membership ranges from 10 years old to 18 years old and of all abilities
  • Sub Junior Members under 10 years old (must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
  • Junior competitions every Sunday from 1:30pm and extra competitions during school holidays
  • Annual Stewards Ryder Cup matchplay competition (Juniors .v. Members)

The club participate regularly in Junior Leagues and Competitions such as the MDGA BMW Challenge

During the School Holidays the club offer free Junior coaching sessions and Competitions
