John didn't see it go in!

John Hankin started his round on the 6^th hole in the Mixed Champagne Breakfast competition at Crompton and Royton Golf Club recently. As he and his playing partners took to the tee on their 16th hole, the par 3 4th, John took out his trusty 7 iron. His tee shot hit the bank on the lefthand side of the green which then moved right, tracking down off the bank and towards to the hole.

John’s playing partners, Paul and Sue both looked at each other whilst John commented, "Has it disappeared". They shouted yes because it has gone in the hole!

John had a hole in one and hadn't seen it go in!

‍

He had never been with anyone that had a hole in one before, let alone have one himself.

‍

To make things better John and his team ended up winning the event.
