The weather was fantastic for the Campbell Lamont Open last weekend. The field was bursting with home players and visitors entering to win the Scottish Golfing Experience prize of playing Carnoustie and St Andrews in September.

The scoring matched the weather, scorching, with it being a very close contest with 5 pairs all scoring -11 or better, but taking the spoils were the local pairing and CRGC members Liam Marshall and Rhys Percival with a brilliant score of 49 points (-13). After a modest score of -4 through 9 holes, Liam and Rhys made 7 pars and 2 birdies for a back 9 score of 27 to win by 1.
