With the exceptionally high temperatures we are currently experiencing, the risk of fire on the golf course has increased significantly. The prolonged dry conditions mean that grass, rough areas and surrounding vegetation can ignite very easily, posing a serious threat to the course, wildlife and the safety of everyone on site.

To help minimise this risk, a temporary smoking ban is now in place across the entire golf course with immediate effect.

This means that:

‍

• Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the golf course during your round.
• This includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes and any other smoking products.
• Members and visitors who wish to smoke may only do so in designated areas away from the course, where permitted by the club.

We appreciate that this may be an inconvenience for some, but this precaution is necessary to protect our course and ensure the safety of all members, guests and staff.

We kindly ask everyone to respect this temporary measure and support the club in reducing the risk of accidental fires during this period of extreme weather.

The situation will be monitored closely, and the ban will remain in place until conditions improve. We will notify members as soon as it is safe to lift the restriction.
