Crompton & Royton Golf Club marked an important date in the club calendar on Sunday 22nd February 2026 as members gathered for the annual Captains Hanging ceremony.
The event saw newly appointed Club Captain, Nigel Wylie, proudly pose for photographs before his framed portrait was officially hung in the clubhouse, continuing a long-standing and much-valued club tradition. The Captains Hanging represents both a celebration of past leadership and the beginning of a new chapter for the year ahead.

The ceremony was well attended and warmly received by members, reflecting the strong sense of community and continuity that defines Crompton & Royton Golf Club.
